Cheddar Garlic Biscuits
Ingredients:
• ½ cup cold butter
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tbsp. baking powder
• ¼ tsp. salt
• 1 cup buttermilk
• ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
• ¼ cup softened butter
• 1 tsp garlic powder
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Farenheit.
2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease.
3. Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4. Add buttermilk and cheese, stirring just until everything comes together. Do not overmix or knead.
5. Drop by heaping spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
6. Combine softened butter and garlic powder, mixing until well blended.
7. Brush tops of biscuits generously with garlic butter. Leftover garlic butter tastes great on a finished steak. Makes 10-12 biscuits.
